The good LORD knows we all have our problems. Each time something comes up that we can't quickly find a solution for we tend to get frustrated first then ask questions later. Then when all else fails we turn to prayer.
As I stated in an earlier post, I have a satellite radio and when we are not listening to Kids Place Live, I listen to a channel called The Message. This station plays all the latest Christian rock music and does some Christian news briefs. What I want to focus on is a little one liner phrase that I heard the other day on The Message.
"Don't tell God how big your mountain is, tell the mountain how big your God is."
This is going to be my new slogan, it is such a simple phrase but man is it deep.
I just received a phone call with some not so good news and my wife and I now have a decision we have to make. As we go through the range of emotions that are bound to come, we are going to be hard pressed to try and keep our wits about us as we try and figure things out. So this post is for me as much as it is anyone else. I want to keep my focus in knowing that the LORD will provide, as he always does. But as we work towards a solution we need to remind ourselves just how big our God is and accept his comfort and peace.
(John 3:16)For God who so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believed in him shall not parish, but have everlasting life.
If God loved us enough to give his son as a sacrifice for our sins, what makes us think he would allow us suffer in the mundane things of this life? There is nothing that can happen that God has not already come up with a solution for, likewise there is no problem that the LORD will give you that he has not already given you the ability to overcome.
So the next time you have to face a problem, pick up your Bible, look the problem straight on and tell it just how big your God is.
Thank you and God Bless.
