Hebrews 12:1-2

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

I apologize that the blog has been quiet for the last week but my family and I are preparing to move so I have not had the time to blog.

On the bright side it leaves me with more ideas on what to preach on April 15th, 2012.

God Bless you all and thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

James 1:1-27 ESV

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes in the Dispersion: Greetings. Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

Jeremiah 9:23-24

This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD.

How big is your faith?

Mark 11:23-24 (KJV)
"For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain,
Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass;
he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you,
What things soever ye desire, when ye pray,
believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
Imagine if your faith was the size of a mustard seed you can do what is mentioned in the passage above. Now come to the understanding that we as Christians should have faith that is infinite. With faith all things are possible through Christ Jesus.

What is it we choose to practice with our faith? Do you love one another as he loved us? If we can tell a mountain to throw itself into the sea, how much better would our lives be if we blessed each other as the Lord as blessed us?

The challange for this weekend is to replace "Good Bye" and "See you later" with "God Bless You". Please post some of the responses you get from others, I would love to hear them.

Thank you, and God Bless.

What does it Profit a Man?

Matthew 16:25-27
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it, and whosoever will lose his life for My sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He shall reward every man according to his works.

Welcome! I have begun this blog as a way to share what I and others have learned in our time as Christians. Over the next couple of days I will be posting some of the Sermons I have given to the wonderful people at St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Syracuse, NY. There will also be Bible verses posted on a regular basis which I find to hold meaning in my life at the time and pray that they may also touch some of you. Please enjoy the content you find here and feel free to comment on anything you read. If you would like to contribute anything please contact me. Thank you all and have a Blessed Day.
